Join College Houses!
Fill out our online application below:

The application is used to let us know that you are interested in cooperative living, and to let each house you are applying for know more about you.

After you submit your application, contact the house membership coordinator to schedule a visit to the house, if you haven't done so already. You are encouraged to attend dinner at any house you are interested in! Attending dinner is the best way to get a feel for the place.

At College Houses Cooperatives you will be a member of a community, not merely a resident. After acceptance, you will have the opportunity to express your ideas and will have the right to vote on house affairs. Your willingness to accept this responsibility and become part of our community is a major factor in your acceptance at College Houses.

Upon acceptance, a contract will be mailed or handed to you to sign. Return the executed contract along with your $300 deposit and $50 membership fee and a room will be reserved for you.

To apply, please fill out the application and submit.

At College Houses you will be living and working along side people from diverse sexual orientation, religious, racial, cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds. Do you forsee this as a problem?
Yes No Please explain if necessary

Living in a co-op is not like living in a dorm or apartment. You will be part of a community. All members are to participate in 1-2 house meetings a month, co-op committees, and perform 1-6 hours of weekly duties. These duties are very important and vital to good house operations. Also, because co-ops function in a real world, there will be times when your fellow co-opers will not do their labor. For the sake of the house, a good co-oper will sometimes voluntarily clean up after uncooperative fellow members. A good co-oper will also hold fellow members accountable for undone or poor labor. Are you willing to accept these duties and do them responsibly?
Yes No Please explain if necessary

What do you think are the advantages for you in a cooperative as opposed to other forms of student housing?

What contributions do you think you can make to this living style?

Please describe yourself (ex. major, hobbies, interests, goals, background, etc.)

Upon acceptance, a contract will be mailed or handed to you to sign. Return the executed contract along with your $300 deposit and $50 membership fee and a room will be reserved for you. And...thank you for your interest in College Houses!
